Vanadium Description
Vanadium - Vanadium is
only necessary in small quantities, although Vanadium is actively
involved in many activities and chemical reactions that occur in the
body, down to those that take place at the cellular level. Vanadium
reportedly will inhibit cholesterol formation inside the blood
vessels. It thus aids in the prevention of heart disease and lowers
the incidence of heart attack.
A deficiency
in Vanadium may lead to weakness and cholesterol problems, but the
evidence of that is thin. Vanadium can be taken to excess, causing
lack of growth in children, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and seldom
death. Vanadium is very common in many vegetables and seafood, such
as shellfish, dill seed, parsley, olives, olive oil, and corn.
