Soy Lecithin Description
Soy Lecithin - Soy Lecithin
is derived from the Soy plant. Lecithin itself is a lipid that is
used in each and every cell in the human body. For the most part,
Lecithin is what cell membranes are actually made of. Lecithin is
active in the regulation of nutrients into and out of the cell, as
well as in the transfer of wastes. Lecithin is noted to be effective
as a preventative to arteriosclerosis and other heart related
maladies. In addition, this compound is useful in the control of
excess cholesterol because it enables the body to process fats out
of the system. Many of the major muscles and organs, such as the
brain, are surrounded by a Lecithin sheath. Supplementation with Soy
Lecithin is very popular.
Lecithin is
found in many processed food. Besides Soy, good natural sources for
Lecithin are brewer's yeast, grains, fish and wheat germ. Some
studies have shown that Soy Lecithin is helpful for those persons
suffering from AIDS, herpes, immune disorders, and chronic fatigue.
This compound is also known as plain Lecithin.
