Niacin Description
Niacin - Niacin is another
water soluble vitamin that is found in beef lever, brewer's yeast,
broccoli, carrots, some dairy products, eggs, fish, pork, wheat germ
and whole wheat products, as well as several Herbs. Niacin is also
known as Vitamin B3 but it is not often called that in the
literature. Niacin can be produced synthetically. Niacin, like
thiamine, is useful in the enhancement of the circulatory system,
carbohydrate processing, and in the production of acids for
digestive health. Pregnant persons, and persons suffering with
diabetes, gout, liver disease, and ulcers may want to supplement.
Niacin has also been shown to assist in digestion and to keep skin
healthy. Deficiency on Niacin may show up as canker sores,
depression, diarrhea, fatigue, and bad breath.
