Manganese - Manganese is
something we don't need much of but some small amount is absolutely
essential. Manganese is common in avocados, nuts, seeds, whole
grains, egg yolks, dried peas and pineapples. It is abundant in many

Manganese is important in assisting with protein and fat metabolism,
bone growth and for good nerve health. People who are deficient in
Iron will often be prescribed supplements of Manganese. Manganese is
also essential in enzyme use and enzyme therapy. A shortage of
Manganese can lead to the development of atherosclerosis,
convulsions, confusion, hypertension, memory loss and irritability.
