Chromium

Chromium Description

Chromium - Chromium is sometimes called GTF, which is an acronym for Glucose Tolerance Factor. Chromium is central in the role of maintaining stable blood sugar levels by regulating insulin use by the body. Chromium is effective for persons with diabetes and hypoglycemia, and those with coronary artery disease. Chromium is not readily absorbed by the human body and 90% of the population is deficient. This deficiency can lead to anxiety, fatigue, glucose intolerance in those with diabetes, and arteriosclerosis. Chromium comes from brewer's yeast, brown rice, cheese, meats and whole grains. Many Herbs also contain this essential mineral, including catnip, horsetail, licorice and red clover.
