Chlorella Description
Chlorella - Chlorella are
small, single celled, round cells of green algae. Chlorella is a
rich source of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Chlorella is one
of the most efficient organisms for using and concentrating the
energy of the sun in its life cycle. It has a high chlorophyll
content, which of course helps. Despite its "sunny" description,
Chlorella is used as a cleanser, especially of the bowel, and of the
liver in disposing of wastes. Chlorella is said to actually
normalize an under-active bowel.
Chlorella is commercially grown in large shallow culture pools where
the organism is allowed to concentrate. Okinawa is a major source
country for this supplement.
