Alfalfa - Alfalfa
is a remedy for poor appetite or loss of appetite. Alfalfa has been
used as a treatment for diabetes, arthritis, menopause, thyroid
conditions and water retention problems, but only the appetite
effectiveness has been verified. Alfalfa comes from the Alfalfa
grain but only the leaves and sometimes the seeds are usable
medicinally. Alfalfa can be obtained in a crushed leaf form, or in
tablets and capsules. In ancient China and India (in areas yet
today) Alfalfa is a treatment for several digestive problems.
Alfalfa is also called Buffalo Herb, Lucerne and Purple Medic.
