Agrimony Description
Agrimony - Agrimony
is a small yellow flower having a bitter taste yet a pleasant odor.
Agrimony is named for an ancient Greek remedy for healing damaged
eyes. Early English people used Agrimony to treat bites, wounds, and
warts. The French used it to treat sprains and bruises. The dried
Agrimony plant is ground into a powder and them boiled to produce
the usable extract. Agrimony is thought to be a remedy for diarrhea,
sore throat, and skin inflammations. Agrimony is also known as
Church Steeples, Cocklebur, Liverwort, Sticklewort and Philanthropos.
Agrimony is taken internally except when used to topically treat
skin irritations and inflammations.
